VD and OB brought this to our attention. Thank you. Look up any word you like, especially those that have been recently redefined to fit the narrative of our enemies.

American

AMER’ICAN, adjective Pertaining to America.

AMER’ICAN, noun A native of America; originally applied to the aboriginals, or copper-colored races, found here by the Europeans; but now applied to the descendants of Europeans born in America.

The name American must always exalt the pride of patriotism. – Washington

It was a nation of a people, not of a nebulous “proposition.” This dictionary definition fits precisely with those of the Declaration, the Constitution, early Republican law, and with the general, common understanding of the term at the time of the Revolution and the Founding. Why change it now?

Why Would Anyone Want a New Car?

Or, more accurately, a spy computer on wheels.

If you’re driving a late model car or truck, chances are that the vehicle is mostly computers on wheels, collecting and wirelessly transmitting vast quantities of data to the car manufacturer not just on vehicle performance but personal information, too, such as your weight, the restaurants you visit, your music tastes and places you go.

A car can generate about 25 gigabytes of data every hour and as much as 4,000 gigabytes a day, according to some estimates. The data trove in the hands of car makers could be worth as much as $750 billion by 2030, the consulting firm McKinsey has estimated. But consumer groups, aftermarket repair shops and privacy advocates say the data belongs to the car’s owners and the information should be subject to data privacy laws.

And, Congress fails to act for the people. Surprise, surprise.

It has been some time but I have covered this topic before. That was over four years ago. Things have changed; it’s worse now.  The alternatives are slim. One can get a used car as an end-around. But, one has to go back 20 years or so for a guarantee. Why do you think they did cash for clunkers?

Another possibility is for someone in tech to design a blocker or a patch that masks the car’s multiple computers. This is probably illegal. Congress, never quick to act for us, has acted for “them;” the car companies have proprietary software. You either take it to their dealership or to an independent who pays a fee for access. And, the way these things work, masking or shutting off the CPU may well totally disable the car.

We’ve been backed into a corner for a reason – total control. They will soon try to mandate automated bot cars that you can’t control and which log your every move. Goodbye, last shreds of freedom.

The only other possibility I can think of is a reverse EM shield that stops outward wireless transmissions. They’ll probably make that illegal too.

Drive on.

Astronomers did NOT just capture the first pictures of a black hole. What is it with “science” and LIES.

Astronomers have captured the first image of a black hole, heralding a revolution in our understanding of the universe’s most enigmatic objects.

The picture shows a halo of dust and gas, tracing the outline of a colossal black hole, at the heart of the Messier 87 galaxy, 55m light years from Earth.

This simply is not true. I for one, years ago, took several pictures of Washington, DC. I even put one on a book cover.

Casting the Widest Net, Real National Affairs for the People

Our topics of discussion, in this here column, of late, have been just a little heavy. For that, I do not apologize. Regardless of their ardent unpopularity among the general population, I kind of like freedom and truth. Matters of geopolitics, religion, economics, Satanic globalism, cultural decay, academic collapse, terrorism, war, and the very survival of Western Civilization are all worthy of intelligent consideration. And, if the approach is, or has to be, a little zealous, then so be it.

I recall Barry Goldwater’s eternal words of vitriolic courage, “…that extremism in the defense of liberty is no vice!”

But … not today. Today, in order to honor the real people out there (the “peeps,” as they call themselves) I cast forth the wide net, the drag net. Dredging the very bottom as it were. I owe my inspiration to a heart-warming family social media story I almost read last week. My drive I owe to a gaggle of teenage girls who, yesterday, forced me at gunpoint into a large, cool, hip, and very trendy Amerikan mall. It was, for them, a fantastic way to spend an afternoon, excused from schooling. For me, it was a fine, educational vacation day.

“Mauled at the mall,” I might normally call it. But, this time, I undertook a deep exploration of the culture on its home turf. Like a visitor from another planet, I stumbled about, awe-struck by the … um … the spectacle.

‘The UK has No Stability!’ – Julian Assange Arrested

Julian Assange

Maybe it’s just a visa matter but I think we all know where this is going…

From The Sun:

As he was pulled out in handcuffs of his hiding place for the last seven years, Assange shouted: “The UK has no stability”.

Assange hasn’t left the embassy since August 2012 – costing the British taxpayer more than £10m.

He feared stepping off Ecuador’s diplomatic soil would see him arrested and extradited to the US for publishing thousands of classified military and diplomatic cables through WikiLeaks.

A Metropolitan Police statement said: “He has been taken into custody at a central London police station where he will remain, before being presented before Westminster Magistrates’ Court as soon as is possible.

From RT:

https://twitter.com/RTUKnews/status/1116276959531667457?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw”>April 11, 2019

UPDATE: We all knew this was coming; someday was today.

WikiLeaks Founder Charged in Computer Hacking Conspiracy

ALEXANDRIA, Va. – Julian P. Assange, 47, the founder of WikiLeaks, was arrested today in the United Kingdom pursuant to the U.S./UK Extradition Treaty, in connection with a federal charge of conspiracy to commit computer intrusion for agreeing to break a password to a classified U.S. government computer.

According to court documents unsealed today, the charge relates to Assange’s alleged role in one of the largest compromises of classified information in the history of the United States.

The indictment alleges that in March 2010, Assange engaged in a conspiracy with Chelsea Manning, a former intelligence analyst in the U.S. Army, to assist Manning in cracking a password stored on U.S. Department of Defense computers connected to the Secret Internet Protocol Network (SIPRNet), a U.S. government network used for classified documents and communications. Manning, who had access to the computers in connection with her duties as an intelligence analyst, was using the computers to download classified records to transmit to WikiLeaks. Cracking the password would have allowed Manning to log on to the computers under a username that did not belong to her. Such a deceptive measure would have made it more difficult for investigators to determine the source of the illegal disclosures.

THE INDICTMENT

One of those crazy conspiracy theories.

China, Facebook, police state

Kind of. I just published a post I wrote on the front porch this morning, another missive on the evil of Farcebook. I wrote:

What took him so long? He’s a libertarian/traditionalist/prepper staple. The fact that any of those groups – like Freedom Prepper, or any preppers! – voluntarily remain at the Faceborg concentration camp is beyond a mystery.

If you (or Dr. M.) need to know how to delete the FB evil from your life, here’s how to do it.

Then, I find THIS.

Screenshot 2019-04-10 at 12.49.44 PM.png

Offenders are said to be sent to “re-education” camps to clamp down on social media use.

Mandatory spyware is downloaded onto citizen’s phones to restrict what citizens can access.

And police check mobiles for evidence of foreign social media apps like Twitter or WhatsApp. [Or Facebook].

In the mad West, people voluntarily check themselves into the FB concentration camp, for the fun of it. In the sane East, let them catch you with your bots and propaganda cat videos, and you go to a real camp.

I’m not sure which is worse.

When Credentialization Meets Reality in London

It’s the same in the US and in the UK: paper credentials count for everything, actual knowledge or experience notwithstanding. Nowhere is this more evident than in the education-industrial complex. Sometimes, hilarity ensues.

Teacher at Catholic London secondary school is suspended after it’s discovered he ‘CAN’T READ or write’

  • Faisal Ahmed was given the green light by teacher training program TeachFirst
  • This is despite having problems with reading and understanding ‘written tests’
  • Just days into his new job at St Thomas More Catholic school in Wood Green

These elite training programs (they’re all “elite”) serve as gatekeepers, holding back those who haven’t passed through the pedagogy wringer of some college Ed Department. They deter the driven and the otherwise knowledgable while failing to catch the illiterate. I almost hope this cat wins his lawsuit.

Standardized tests for the kids. Standardized certificates for the teachers. Standardized failure for society.

Masters Tournament, Par Three

The fun starts at noon (2 PM for the internet).

Golf Digest has it down:

AUGUSTA, Ga. — You can take your Home Run Derby, Slam Dunk, Skills Competition and shove ’em. Sports’ best ancillary showcase is the Par 3 Contest. Given the excitement and energy that surrounds the Wednesday tournament, one would be forgiven for confusing it as a major itself. Think that’s hyperbole? After spending the early afternoon camping out at the scene, I assure you it’s not. Here are eight reasons why the Masters’ Par 3 Contest is the best non-event event in sports.

It’s one of the most aesthetically pleasing amphitheaters in entertainment

Sitting to the right of the clubhouse, two ponds comprise the Par 3 Course’s epicenter, surrounded by trees, shrubs, flowers, pine straw, and any other nature item Bob Ross ever painted, with white Augusta National cabins hovering on the horizon. Oh, and nine of the greenest, finely-manicured par 3 holes on the planet. When dotted with the patrons, it’s a confluence of color so spectacular they can’t be replicated on a palette.

The roars …

Enjoy that, live or on the Screens.

Tonight I suppose they may still run the party at Hooters on Washington Road. Is the tent up this year? Is the shopping center still there? Hmm.

Last night, the Darius Rucker Show took a victory lap around the remains of what used to be ROCK Fore!

It’s entirely possible the Sweetwater Brewpub may be operational at SRP Park. Uh…

I think I’m heading to the beach in just a bit…

Vox Day’s Take on American Socialism

His view is somewhat similar to mine, adding two excellent points:

All three reasons are legitimate, though not as significant as two additional reasons. The first is that there are now tens of millions of US citizens from nations with strong socialist traditions. For example, two of the three major Mexican parties are members of the Socialist International.

The second is that the media is dominated by individuals whose politics range the gamut from Marxian to Trotksyite.
