Hon. Ben “Cooter” Jones on the Fall of Silent Sam

And the fall of the South. And of the West.

I did not know Jones attended UNC. How he tells it: poetic and powerful:

Fifty plus years ago I would look out at Silent Sam from my window in Battle Dorm and try to imagine what it must have been like to have gone off to war in those days. I thought of Sam as maybe a youth from somewhere like Tarboro or Clinton or Hickory. He was of good heart, I figured, maybe 18 or 19, a bit thin, a bit afraid. He was of that tough North Carolina stock, that “salt of the earth” fellow whose character is reflected in the State’s motto: “Esse Quam Videre.” To be rather than to seem.

He could have been my great great Uncle Gabriel Jacobs, who was killed at Fraysor’s Farm pursuing McClellan in his escape to the river. He was 21. He, in turn, was named for his great great great grandfather Gabriel Jacobs, a slave who was freed by his master John Custis in Northhampton County, Virginia in 1695.

Our South is a land of many secrets and many truths.

The radical trash who tore down Silent Sam and those academic idiots who enable them are not worthy to walk on the same ground as Gabriel Jacobs. Silent Sam will rise again, and we, not they, shall overcome.

The great shame of it is that Sam’s rifle must have been unloaded.

[Perrin Lovett] – Horrific New Light Shed on the Crisis in the Roman Catholic Church (That Crisis Which Threatens All of Christendom)

Christianity is one of the three fundamental pillars of Western Civilization (along with the Greco-Roman legal legacy and the European nation-state). And, of the three, it is arguably the most important. The West cannot stand without it. Our enemies know this and that is behind the constant globo-secular attacks on the Faithful and the Church. Those assaults, however, are likely not the worst obstacle to our continued functioning religion and way of life.

The real threat is inside. Many in Europe, in America, and elsewhere have been aware of this phenomenon for years. But last week a story surfaced which renewed the call to alertness and action like nothing I have ever seen before.
In a blog post last week I first examined the spectacle, one seemingly lifted from the pages of a gothic horror novel. A Pennsylvania grand jury released a 900-page report detailing over 1,000 cases of predatory sexual abuse, committed by some 300 priests and other leadership figures, over many decades, at various PA Catholic parishes and institutions.
Read The Report HERE. ***WARNING: This is among the vilest evil imaginable.***

We, the members of this grand jury, need you to hear this. We know some of you have head some of it before. There have been other reports about child sex abuse within the Catholic Church. But never on this scale. For many of us, those earlier stories happened someplace else, someplace away. Now we know the truth: it happened everywhere.

Remember that PA is but one of 50 states in one of about 195 countries with practicing Catholic populations. PA has roughly 3.5 million Catholics out of 1.285 billion worldwide (or .0027%). Out of such large numbers, even in the Keystone State alone, the percentage tally of abuse incidents and victims is statistically small. However, the concern should be huge. The real problem is with the priests and the hierarchy. These are clergymen who, direct abuses aside, simply cannot administer their offices effectively.
After reading more of the cases than I cared to, I discerned a pattern: abuse, cover-up, abuse, cover-up, shielding from civil justice, insanely slow administration of Canon justice, and denial. Why and how did it take so long for this to become public knowledge? Parishioners have literally been held hostage and forced to pay (hush money) for the abuse. Such a tragedy is beyond belief. It’s beyond systemic corruption. It is indicative of the embedded presence of Lucifer and his evil.
I, along with others, call for a purge. A macro purge would involve reversing Vatican II and probably Vat. I as well. At the operational level, every single identifiable satanist, atheist, sodomite, pederast, communist, and globalist in the Church must be removed. (It would be just to remove many from the world, period).
Without a substantial overhaul, traditional Catholics are left with three choices: 1) continue to suffer; 2) withhold money and support in protest until reform comes, or; 3) leave (one notes Orthodox Churches do not seem similarly afflicted).
Picture from Vatican News.
On Monday, August 20th, Pope Francis responded via a Letter to the People of God. Therein he admitted:
Looking back to the past, no effort to beg pardon and to seek to repair the harm done will ever be sufficient.  Looking ahead to the future, no effort must be spared to create a culture able to prevent such situations from happening, but also to prevent the possibility of their being covered up and perpetuated.
One will note that among the various Biblical passages cited, Matthew 18:6 is absent. But, Amen!, we do need action. Some are already contemplated what I suggested above and the withholding of financial support. But, in testament to the force and nature of this trouble, even as some talk about a purge, others busy themselves building bridges and fomenting better relations with the enemy. Yes, wolves are eating the flock. So bring in more wolves! Madness.
Picture by browniecheesecake.com. And no offense offered to actual wolves, our lovely if noisy woodland friends.
The recent report, while very specific, is also somewhat applicable to the general and greater tribulation of the whole Church in the West. I recall a late article about the decline of Southern Baptists and other Protestants in South Carolina. The decline of Southern Baptists. In South Carolina. The Bible Belt. Said article paints a partial picture of post-Christian “culture.” It isn’t a Rembrandt: ”The share of Americans who identify with Christianity is declining, while those who say they have no religion is growing rapidly.” Remember the important pillar of that which we like to call Civilization…
The numbers are shocking. In less than a decade, while gaining 11 new Baptist church buildings, SC lost 78,516 church members. At this rate, in a few years, the state might only have 50,000 Southern Baptists, each attending his own, individual church… Unity?

This is the result of decades of decline, confusion, and degeneracy in society generally and, specifically, in the parishes. In a time and place where literally anything goes (unless it makes sense), people look for refuge in the Church. Increasingly, in place of sanctity and safety, what they find is more anything goes, worldly conformity, virtue signaling, postmodernism, taboos, rock n’ roll services, Churchianty, cotton candy theology, and, in many cases, outright evil.
This decline cannot stand. If it does, then we will not.

Michael Cohen’s plea agreement (which oddly does not mention “Russia” even once):

THE DEAL

And, in a somewhat related article, the WSJ editorial staff reminds the “free and independent” media that they might want to actually act free and independent:

Falling for the Trap

“Journalists who don’t like what the president has said about the press might want to start behaving like objective reporters instead of liberal political activists.”

That just might help.

Maybe the Brits Could Try This?

Following attacks, Israel eases (already liberal) gun controls.

“Many civilians saved lives during attacks and, in an age of ‘lone-wolf terror’, the more trained civilians carrying arms, the higher the chances of thwarting attacks and minimising casualties,” Erdan said in a statement.

Under the new regulations, any Israeli who had extensive infantry combat training can apply for a gun licence.

Most Jewish Israelis must complete obligatory military service after they turn 18, but only a minority receive such training.

Police volunteers, medics and former military officers will also be eligible, the statement said.

Prior to the change, the main criterion for a permit — besides professions such as hunter or diamond merchant — was one’s place of residence.

Settlers or other Israelis working in the occupied West Bank tend to receive licences. It is common to see Israeli settlers in remote West Bank outposts openly carrying rifles.

Civilians saving lives. Why does that sound familiar?

They could try this in London if ever they tire of Khan, appeasement, and cultural suicide.

battle bots, future, Perrin hates robots, robot wars, robots, Russia

Not to sound all Al Gore, but we only have a few years to head off the robot apocalypse.

The Russian news (all fake, huh?) gave us the “creepy” droid seen stalking around a parking lot.

A video has emerged on Twitter showing a faceless yet worryingly realistic humanoid robot walking in what looks like a perfectly mundane courtyard. The trip down the uncanny valley caused some to proclaim an impending apocalypse.

The clip shows the stoop-backed robot making its way past the cameraman, with ominous music playing in the background. Its black and orange limbs, hi-tech-looking protrusions along its spine, and its hollowed out head all lend to the realism, bringing to mind Boston Dynamics’ latest scary creations. But then the camera zooms in on its face plate, and that’s where you might feel a slight urge to scream and run, because set in the near-featureless white mask are two moving, human-like eyes.

Naturally, some users’ reaction was “WE ARE ALL GOING TO DIE.”

Yeah, probably, but not from that goofy-looking thing. Death is more likely from this one (also from Putin Landia):

Russia has unveiled a terrifying 4.5-tonne bulletproof robot that can walk and hold weapons in its giant claws – and looks straight out of sci-fi films like Avatar and Robocop.

The Avatar-style ‘bot was revealed by Kalashnikov at the Army 2018 Fair just outside Moscow, as a ‘demonstration of what is to come.’

The robot can walk and has space in a cabin for people to sit and operate the robot from inside and can hold and move objects with its claws, including weapons.

The pilots are protected from bullets, debris and any other dangerous object behind the armoured glass and metal encasement.

The gold robot, which has been called Igorek, is still under construction and the creators do not wish to reveal all its characteristics until they have finished.

I’m good with the current reveal. 4.5 tons, claws, weapons, made by Kalashnikov, bulletproof … that’s more than enough. Any engineers reading this, feel free to leave comments about possible soft points on this monster. What minimum caliber do we need? (I’m thinking concentrated fire on the windshield or just fire [napalm] on the whole body).

Defacing the memory of an unnamed young soldier in the name of globalist idiocy. Truly a war on the idea of civilization itself.

CHAPEL HILL
Protesters toppled the Silent Sam Confederate statue on the campus of UNC-Chapel Hill on Monday night.

The monument was ripped down after 9:15 p.m. Earlier in the evening, protesters covered the statue with tall, gray banners, erecting “an alternative monument” that said, in part, “For a world without white supremacy.”

Protesters were apparently working behind the covering with ropes to bring the statue down, which happened more than two hours into a rally. It fell with a loud clanging sound, and the crowd erupted in cheers.

The company of the violent and the ignorant.

If these fools think Silent Sam represented(s) “white supremacy,” then what of the concept of the university? And representative government? Free markets? Polyester? Steel? Concrete? Electricity? America? If they were honest and wished to be free from all this “oppression,” then they would remove themselves from our midst and relocate to some cave in the woods (far, far away). As is I think they’ll happily rip the rest down too if allowed.

This strange creature is a hero:

Speaking of heroes: thanks to the brave men and women of law enforcement who stood by and watched the destruction. They’ll come for you too someday.

Came yesterday, Monday, August 20, 2018, addressing the Pennsylvania abuse report. Its kind of vague, almost watery, and lacks reference to Matthew 18:6, but it is a start.

Letter of His Holiness Pope Francis
To the People of God

“If one member suffers, all suffer together with it” (1 Cor 12:26). These words of Saint Paul forcefully echo in my heart as I acknowledge once more the suffering endured by many minors due to sexual abuse, the abuse of power and the abuse of conscience perpetrated by a significant number of clerics and consecrated persons. Crimes that inflict deep wounds of pain and powerlessness, primarily among the victims, but also in their family members and in the larger community of believers and nonbelievers alike. Looking back to the past, no effort to beg pardon and to seek to repair the harm done will ever be sufficient. Looking ahead to the future, no effort must be spared to create a culture able to prevent such situations from happening, but also to prevent the possibility of their being covered up and perpetuated. The pain of the victims and their families is also our pain, and so it is urgent that we once more reaffirm our commitment to ensure the protection of minors and of vulnerable adults.

…

Much more on this later in the week via my TPC column. That, here, then.

More pressure for the West.

Watch and see how well constitutional protections hold up in South Africa.

White landowners prepare to flee.

And they don’t even need to “reform” the law to seize the land, they just do it – NOW.

THE South African government has begun the process of seizing land from white farmers.

Local newspaper City Press reports two game farms in the northern province of Limpopo are the first to be targeted for unilateral seizure after negotiations with the owners to purchase the properties stalled.

While the government says it intends to pay, owners Akkerland Boerdery wanted 200 million rand ($18.7 million) for the land — they’re being offered just 20 million rand ($1.87 million).

“Notice is hereby given that a terrain inspection will be held on the farms on April 5, 2018 at 10am in order to conduct an audit of the assets and a handover of the farm’s keys to the state,” a letter sent to the owners earlier this year said.

Akkerland Boerdery obtained an urgent injunction to prevent eviction until a court had ruled on the issue, but the Department of Rural Development and Land Affairs is opposing the application.

“What makes the Akkerland case unique is that they apparently were not given the opportunity to first dispute the claim in court, as the law requires,” AgriSA union spokeswoman Annelize Crosby told the paper.

Imagine that, illegal actions in defiance of the existing law. One also might wonder where all the virtuous know-it-alls of the 1980’s are now. Remember them and apartheid? They’re absent, of course, at the moment. But they will chime in, heavily, in around five years when the famine and chaos hit SA hard. Will they play Sun City???

America, CDC, health, society

And this is not a good trend.

One in four adults reported they have a disability that impacts major life activities with the most dominant one affecting mobility, according to a report issued Thursday by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

In the CDC’s Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report, data were studied from the 2016 Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System. This is the first CDC report of the percentage of adults across six disability types: mobility, cognition, hearing, vision, independent living and self-care.

“At some point in their lives, most people will either have a disability or know someone who has a one,” Dr. Coleen Boyle, director of CDC’s National Center on Birth Defects and Developmental Disabilities, said in a press release. “Learning more about people with disabilities in the United States can help us better understand and meet their health needs.”

And much of this, so much, is preventable. Keep popping the pills, watching the TeeVee, and eating everything in site. Will work out (no pun…) just fine.
